Why Ceramic Coat my Car and How Long Does It last ?
Ceramic Coatings are a SI02 coating made from Quarts, that protect the paint from fading and protects the clear coat from getting etched by Acid in Bird droppings and Bugs and creates a hydrophobic barrier that beads up the water and make washing and drying easier. It also withstands heat up to 1200 degrees and is perfect for our hot summers. It Allows you to go longer intervals between washing your car as dirt and fallout don’t stick to the paint like with conventional waxes. We have quartz Ceramic Coatings that last 5, 7 and 10 years and are simi – permanent and require no re-application.
How Long Does a Professionally Applied Ceramic Coating Take?
Typically, a Professionally installed Ceramic Coating should take around 2 days in order to meticulously remove all the swirls and 95% off all defects, leaving the paint with a high gloss mirror like finish before applying the ceramic which gives the paint an even a higher glass like finish. We do this at our location where we have better environmental control while going through the process.
I have Swirl Marks will Wax Cover Them Up?
NO! There is a misnomer going around that is does! Wax leaves a soft film on the paint that melts at 180 degrees and basically runs off the car like water and is gone within a few washings.
I Have Swirl Marks In the paint. How Do I get Rid of Them?
This is where a paint correction is needed to level the paint down to the bottom
of the depth of the swirl or scratch in the paint leaving a fresh untouched layer of paint that’s even better than when it left the factory.
